The Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area, BIMP-EAGA is more connected with improved transport links, tourism routes, and digital trade networks creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs to scale across borders. The Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism made the remark during the 4th Brunei Youth Forum. Held in conjunction with the BIMP-EAGA Youth Bus Programme 2025, the forum was held at the Dewan Majlis Building. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin also emphasized that innovative ideas generated by technology and collaboration can transform industries, create new markets and advance communities.
The first session 'The Next Generation of Entrepreneurs: Youth as the Catalyst of Change' was an open dialogue by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy); and Yang Berhormat Dayang Queenie Chong Chin Yee, Member of the Legislative Council. The 4th Brunei Youth Forum aimed to inspire and encourage youth participation in capacity building workshops targeted entrepreneurship.
